My, how dramatic.
The wonderful thing about being a postgrad is the respect you are shown by the undergraduate community at large. No, really...
No, but seriously. I've spent the last 2 days enthusing about anthropology to 6th formers who'd come up for open days etc. Did rather well, I think. In any case, I've been paid for it. Woo. Have been asked to help with a summer school for kids over the summer. Well, in August at some point, anyway.
Arrived back in college to find the undergrad open day reps having a barby in the quad. Arrived at that wonderful point when everyone is stuffed, but there's loads of food. Sausages and burgers for me. Yey. Also, I then put on my best "starving postgrad" face and went away with a box of sausages and salad and bread and stuff that they're not gonna use. Fantastic. Now all I need is a housemate back to share the bounty with.
Weird stuff on my tracker. Who are you people? Haha. There's no way for you to tell me. How exciting.
What else, what else...
Not much and that's for sure. Oh, I have no money. Nope, none at all. This is particularly exciting given that I must go out tonight and tomorrow night and the night after that probably. I don't really know how this is possible.
Anyhow.

One wonders what the point of this thing is.
It's not a journal. It's not a diary. Anyone hoping for a day by day account of my life is to be surely dissapointed.
All I can say is that some people move too fast. Everything takes time. Nothing is easy. Everything is complicated.
i don't have the energy to play everyone's games. It's a bit much.
On the positive side, and there's always one of those, I have just been awarded Half Colours.
woo.
Term ends tomorrow. I need the sleep.

Thought I'd replace that drunken ramble with a more reliable, or at least possibly interesting post. Less embarassing that way.
Anyway, the basic point was that... um, well... the basic point wasn't all that interesting so let's move on.
Yeah, number 2 went a bit wrong. But it's all okay now. Phd oppurtunities loom ahead. Although just got an email from St Andrew's saying my references hadn't arrived. Apparently they were posted on Thurs. So that's okeh.
Maybe I'll go look at baboons in Africa. I have a standing offer to help me go to America if I wanna. Maybe even Canada, I've heard it's nice out there.
Got a lot of work on, it's end of term time and everything. Always exciting.
Speaking of which, must run... gotta read about human territoriality. Yey.

Sorry, sorry... I know I promised to keep this more regular, but DEAR GOD, I've been busy. Musical rehearsals coming out of my ears, university rag week (have humiliated myself utterly in front of my college and must now go on to do so before the UNIVERSITY!!). Plus, trying to get my head around applying for a PhD. No one will answer my questions. There is no information to be had. Everyone says things like: "well, it depends on what you want to do and where you want to go" oh, how terribly helpful.
On the positive side, my dissertation proposal has been accepted, just got ethics approval to go now and we'll be in business.
Go me.
Still no points.
